This week on Elder Silva in Mexico, my companion and I recently found a new apartment to live in. It is a lot better than the one we are living in now. The reason why we are moving is because the house we are living currently is old, and the walls are filling up with humidity and our clothes are getting damaged. This week was suppose to be a great week because we had 2 baptisms planned but they fell through which was kinda frustrating and sad because they know that this is the true church but their families don't want them to get baptized and they're a really close to their families.
But this week we have one secure baptism whose name is Arquelao, his whole family are members and he has been going to church for 10 years and now he has finally decided to get baptized with his daughter on the 30th. He is a really great man because he supported his family with everything in the church even though he wasn't a member. This week we also had a movie night as a ward and we watched 17 miracles, and that movie is soo good :)
So a sister let us barrow her speakers for the movie night ward activity and we took the opportunity to try them out with some hardcore HYMN MUSIC!!!!!! :D

Week 9
So this week was a little tough because it has been raining every single day and no one wants to talk with us but we keep on going. We visited some Investigators in a place called Boqueron. It is a 30 min ride in a little bus to get there and it is is really poor, they have floods all the time when it rains. But we went and there is a guy called Ezekiel and he likes to talk a lot, maybe too much but we finally told him to listen to our message which he did and he liked it. So we asked him to pray about what we taught him and we told him he will receive an answer from God. We were so sure of this, that we also told him if he didn't then we would stop coming by his house and bothering him. But we told him he had to pray with faith and a sincere heart.
So we asked him to do the last prayer and in his prayer he asked to receive his answer in a dream. The next day we saw him in the street and he said, ¨Hey you guys are telling the truth because I had a dream last night about you guys and you guys need to come by my house again¨ so I was like what???? This is awesome and we told him that we are going to go by on Tuesday . So I cant wait till Tuesday and talk to him :) So now i have a stronger testimony on revelation, if you truly have faith and a a sincere heart and want to know if anything is true ¨just ask and ye shall receive.

Week 8
This week on Elder Silva's blog, my new companion Elder Bañnuelos and I have been working hard. And you know what they say about hard work, good things happen. This month we have 4 baptisms, three for the 24th and one on the 30th. We have also been trying to get our ward stronger, we have been visiting the less active and so far most of them have been attending church. This week was also really hard because its been raining everyday and flooding the streets. People don't really want to let missionary's in their house when they are soaked lol and not many people are in the streets so we cant contact them :( Hopefully next week it doesn't rain as much, I kinda prefer the rain than the hot sun and humidity lol
OHHH and this week was also Rosca De Los Reyes, that's when they celebrate the 3 kings that visited Jesus. They are like Santa but for Mexicans and the children get gifts. They also eat a cake and if your piece of cake has a baby inside it, then you have to buy tamales on the 12 of February. And guess what I got 2 babies! -_-

Week 7
So this was my last week before transfers and I was feeling pretty nervous. I didn't know if i was going to leave my area or get a new companion. Turns out that I get to stay and I got a new companion, his name is Elder Bañuelos. He is from Mexico and he is really short lol but we are getting along just fine. I'm actually really happy that i didn't move areas because there are a lot of investigators and people that I have become close with.
OHHH and New Years here was crazy, there was fireworks all night and I'm pretty sure I heard some gun shots lol. Me and Elder Espinoza just chilled on the roof and enjoyed the show. Another awesome thing is that we got 78 people go to church this last Sunday lol. That's pretty good because last month there was only 55 people attending church :) So yeah My Dad/Trainer left, Elder Urbina, he was a good Father but just a little burned out.
